Dr. Khandakar Qudrat-I Elahi
Dr. Elahi is a Bangladeshi-Canadian. He completed his bachelor's and master's degrees in agricultural economics from Bangladesh Agricultural University in the 1970s and became a lecturer in Agricultural Finance in 1979. He then completed his MS and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Guelph, Canada, and resumed his duties in 1988. In 1996, he resigned from his job and immigrated to Canada with his family. In his new career, he became passionate about the history of Western philosophy and applied his knowledge to address current affairs and social-science issues. This paper reflects his views on constitutional debates in Bangladesh.
