About BDLD
Citable, open-access legal scholarship from Bangladesh.
Who we are
BDLD is a legal research institute established in 2015 by a group of law alumni from the University of Dhaka. It publishes the BDLD Journal (Bangladesh Law Digest) – a citable, peer-reviewed, open-access law journal featuring rigorous legal scholarship with no paywalls or reader fees. Beyond publication, BDLD’s Legal Research Membership Program trains law students and practitioners in legal research and drafting, while its national seminars and workshops draw participants from more than 20 universities nationwide.
Peer-reviewed law journal
The BDLD Journal (Bangladesh Law Digest) covers constitutional law, criminal justice, human rights, environmental law, and commercial law in the Bangladeshi context, with contributions from judges, senior advocates, and university faculty. Every article passes editorial screening and double-blind peer review before publication.
